Let Us Fill You In About Our Fillers

People talk about celebrities as timeless beauties, some have even built industries off their image, but aging gracefully is “out of reach” for the rest of us? Get real! Artfully refining your features is a skill! It can infuse your look with poise, confidence, and self-possessed style.

Shot Bar is a proud provider of the RHA collection as well as Revanesse and Restylane fillers. These are the highest-quality hyaluronic acid face, neck, and lip fillers in Lincoln Park. We’re talkin’ the best of the best, right here in Chicago. They’re so dynamic they can give a natural accent to your features or give you that movie star look that’ll make you feel like saying, “I’m ready for my close-up!”

Why We Love Them

FDA-Approved

Our fillers are FDA-approved and can be injected into many different areas of the face. They’re also effective for treating the neck, décolletage, and hands.

Low Maintenance

Adding volume and shape with fillers is a low-maintenance treatment, and they should last for about 6 months or longer, depending on the type of filler used.

Adaptable

Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers can move with the movements of the face. As such, they can create more adaptable and natural-looking results.

For the Science Babes

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring polysaccharide (carbohydrate) that exists in human tissue. We inject the gel-like HA fillers into areas underneath the skin to increase or restore volume to that area. The fillers eventually dissolve and their effects fade, usually after about 6 to 12 months.

The Play-by-Play

The Filler Process

Step 1

Consultation

Your first step is a consultation, which will make you one of our Hotshots! Injectable filler is a true technical art, and we take them very seriously at Shot Bar. We take time to do a detailed analysis and discuss your goals with you so we can create the best possible results. In general, we recommend scheduling your treatment 2 to 4 weeks before big events to account for swelling. Avoid certain blood-thinning medications and alcohol for 24 to 48 hours before your appointment.

Step 2

Treatment

We ask that you arrive early with a clean, product-free face if possible. Injecting face, neck, and lip fillers in Lincoln Park may seem like a simple procedure, but they are both an art and a science. Shot Bar’s injectors have had extensive education and training. We will create a long-term maintenance plan for you at your treatment, including the timing for your next appointment to help you maintain your ideal results.

Step 3

Aftercare

To reduce swelling, apply a cold compress to the area for 15 minutes at a time. If you bruise easily, a vitamin K cream or arnica gel may be useful. For 24 hours after, avoid applying makeup, products, or anything that could spread bacteria. Try to sleep face-up and slightly elevated if you experience swelling. It may help to avoid sun exposure and extreme temperatures for a day and dental procedures for 3 to 4 weeks.
