Shot Bar’s prescription weight loss program using semaglutide in Lincoln Park offers real solutions that work. It’s more than just a weekly injection. It’s about customization, support, and accountability. Our approach stems from Lindsey’s personal experience of struggling to lose weight.
In 2018, Lindsey lost 130 lbs and kept it off. Then, in the summer of 2022, she lost an additional 20 pounds in just over six weeks using semaglutide. Not only does Lindsey have her own real-life experience, but she is also a medically trained expert. Step 1
Consultation
Your first step is an in-person or remote consultation, with Lindsey to discuss your weight loss goals and choose the medication that is right for you. The program begins with a month of weekly sessions with Lindsey. She will collect your health history, order labs, and offer nutrition counseling. Then, she’ll create a customized plan to help you achieve success that will include health coaching and weight loss injections.
Step 2
Customized Plan
Your plan for weight loss includes implementing any health and nutrition changes that will become an integral part of your journey. Lindsey will explain the science behind weight loss methods and she will go into detail about how GIP and GLP-1 prescription weight loss injections work to curb cravings and keep blood sugar lowered. This is a great time to ask any questions and learn more about the science behind peptide-assisted weight loss!
Step 3
Continuing Care
After your first month, regular remote check-ins are done to ensure your progress aligns with your health goals. These are also important to continue any peptide treatment on a maintenance basis. Depending on your progress and comfort level at this point, you may only be required to meet with Lindsey to do bi-monthly check-ins. This program is entirely customizable and the level of assistance you want is completely up to you!

You do not have to live in Chicago to get on a prescription weight loss program. If you live in the state of Illinois, Shot Bar can provide your weight loss medication prescriptions remotely or in person.
Lindsey will go over how certain foods store fat and why insulin spikes can cause weight gain throughout the program. In short, insulin is a key hormone involved in storing fats and weight gain. When insulin levels are high, it impairs the body’s ability to burn fat for energy.
The medication is not insulin and should not be used if you have type I diabetes or have DKA.
The most commonly reported side effects were mild to moderate nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and heartburn. Most side effects subside after a few days. There are some reports that side effects are less prevalent with tirzepatide.
